Leaf Hound is a blues/hard rock band formed in 1969 in London, UK under their original name, Black Cat Bones. Early incarnations of the Black Cat Bones featured guitarist Paul Kossoff and drummer Simon Kirke who both left to form Free. Black Cat Bones issued one album for Decca Records entitled Barbed Wire Sandwich. They replaced their vocalist shortly after releasing the album, adding Peter French to the line-up.

Originally formed circa 1964 (and first known as The Dollar Bills before becoming John Lee’s Groundhogs, to reflect their admiration for John Lee Hooker), the group was led by singer/songwriter/lead guitarist Tony (T.S.) McPhee.

Along with Tarkus they were the only hard rock / heavy metal orientated group from Peru. The original line-up played from 1970-72, but there were several subsequent line-ups.
