πολυ καλη σιξτις φορ εβερ γκαραζ - ποπ μπαντα με αρκετες επιτυχιες στο ενεργητικο τους
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Colony_Six wrote:
The New Colony Six is an American soft rock band whose height of popularity was from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s. From Chicago, the group placed ten singles on the Hot 100 between 1966 and 1971. Original members were Ray Graffia (vocals), Chick James (drums), Pat McBride (harmonica), Craig Kemp (organ), Wally Kemp (bass), and Gerry Van Kollenburg (guitar). Ronnie Rice (vocals, keyboards, guitar) joined in 1966, replacing Craig Kemp. There were numerous changes in the lineup over the years. The band's two biggest hits, which peaked on WLS months before they peaked nationally, were Rice's "I Will Always Think About You" (WLS #1 on 25 March 1968) (Hot 100 #22 on 1 June 1968) (#14 RPM Canada) and "Things I'd Like to Say" (WLS #2 on 30 December 1968) (Hot 100 #16 on 22–29 March 1969) (#6 Canada). In Canada they also hit the charts with an earlier song "Love You So Much" (WLS #2 on 27 January 1967) (Hot 100 #61 on 25 March 1967) (#49 Canada) and the later "I Could Never Lie To You" (WLS #7 on 26 May - 2 June 1969) (Hot 100 #50 on 14 June 1969) (#38 Canada).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravedigger_Five wrote:The Gravedigger Five – often shown as Gravedigger V – was a garage rock revival band formed in 1984 in San Diego, California. The band was part of the Paisley Underground, a musical movement centered around Los Angeles, California, which referenced 1960s West Coast pop and garage rock. The band's lineup consisted of Leighton Koizumi on vocals and sound effects, Ted Friedman on lead guitar, John Hanrattie on rhythm guitar and backup vocals, Dave "The Animal" Anderson on drums and percussion, and originally Chris Gast, who was replaced on bass and backing vocals by Tom Ward. When the Gravedigger Five broke up, members of the band went on to form The Morlocks and Manual Scan.

The band (never seen performing live, as mentioned in "Knights of Fuzz") maybe had the "curse of Voxx" i.e disbanding right after the release of their album, or maybe was an one-off only project. The album kicks off with "Fly Tonight", a crazed garage track, followed by the 6 minute-long title track, which speeds up and slowes down, complete with an eastern scale solo from the Vox organ of the leader Bob Fountain. The highlight is "She's so wild", another speeding-slowing track, with a superb guitar-organ dialogue. The speedy instrumental "Go-Go 85" closes the a-side. The b-side runs in the same vein with 3-minute songs, delivered straight from 1966, full of teenage fever and naive lyrics, with "Tell me why" and "One Last Kiss" outstanding, and closes with the calmed-down "Bittesweet", up-lifting, almost pop-psych tune that features a nice guitar solo.
To my ears, this one stands side-by-side with the teenage garage anthems of the Pebbles or the Moxie records, which apparently the band had studied very well, alongside with the ? and the Mysterians. Its garagey, vox organ-dominated sound, the tempo changes and the very american backing vocals are refreshing enough for me.

The new album has again a lot to offer; once again wild fuzz guitars, a strong voice, a catchy farfisa organ, a bit of harmonica and a lot of Garage Punk!
The songs will remind you of heroes like THE CHESTERFIELD KINGS or THE MIRACLE WORKERS and will definitely make you want to dance.

Oblivians
ωραια γκαραζ πανκ μπαντα απο το Μεμφις Τενεσι που επεστρεψε φετος με νεο καλουτσικο αλμπουμ ("Desperation")
ορίστε και τα 2 καλύτερα άσματα από το καινούργιο τουςhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oblivians wrote:The Oblivians was an American garage punk trio that existed from 1993 to 1998. In the 1990s, their blues-infused brand of bravado, crudely recorded music made them one of the most popular and prominent bands within the underground garage rock scene.
Formed in Memphis, Tennessee, the band consisted of three members -- Greg Cartwright, Jack Yarber, and Eric Friedl—who alternated between instruments on stage and in the studio, each member serving as vocalist, guitarist, and drummer, in turn. The band recorded three LPs, as well as a number of EPs and singles, typically recording songs live in the studio.
The band has performed numerous reunion shows since officially disbanding, as well as a highly anticipated 2009 European reunion tour with The Gories, who also reformed to co-headline the dates.
Oblivians released the studio album Desperation on May 28, 2013 through In The Red Records.[1]

The Rich Hands - 2013 - Dreamers
συμπαθεστατο φετινο ντεπουτο LP
http://therichhands.bandcamp.com/ wrote:The Rich Hands are a three piece rock-n-roll outfit hailing from San Antonio, TX. High School friends that bonded over a love for 50's rock n roll and 60's pop. These boys might be channeling the greats of a time way before they were born but they pump out soulful blues filled stomps so good that would make a classic Detroit assembly line jealous. This is the real deal.

http://www.kamikaze-records.de/shop/home.cfm?lang=en&p=73 wrote:Switzerland, mostly wellknown for it´s mountains, goats and cheese finally shows that there´s more behind this country than just being a tax oasis for german millionaires. The ambassadors of swiss rock´n´roll are called THE BAHAREEBAS and believe me these guys know how to keep a party swinging. They´re always trying to catch the biggest wave and surf on it like there´s gonna be no tomorrow. Yeah, THE BAHAREEBAS are a traditional surf- combo with a distinctive affection for the garage-punk mayhem of the sixties and certainly one of the best to come outta Europe in quite some time. Their organ driven instro sounds , sometimes even enriched with some spooky vocal parts remind us a lot of the sadly missed BOMBORAS. You can easily hear the twangin´ surf influence of Mr. Dick Dale in all their guitar work and they must have listened to a lot of authentic beat and teen-punk stuff to come up with an album like that. This record will not just please fans of surf legends like the ATLANTICS and the ASTRONAUTS, but everyone who´s going mad for primitive rock´n´roll and demented "Back from the grave" alike garage-punk. Let´s go jellyfishing!
"There's just a lot to like here. The simple riffology that was surf in the sixties is the basis here, and the writing is excellent. More importantly, the Bahareebas have arranged these songs in a very infectious way. It's hard not to grin and bounce while listening. Vocals on this CD include the eerie and way fun "Vampire Beach," "Lollipop Whore," "Safran," and "Don't Steal My Show." (Phil Dirt ****)
