Outsider’ is the band’s 24th studio album, and first new album in three years. With a good 44 years and counting for band leader and guitarist Mick Box, it’s all about the road ahead.  “We are very proud of our history” he said in a press release for the album. “But it is equally important to keep producing new material. This new album is very much a rock album in true ‘Heep’ style. It shows that we still have the same passion and energy for our music that we have always had.”
The Heep has been through many changes, most recently when longtime bassist Trevor Boulder passed away last year. New bassist Dave Rimmer has now officially joined the lineup.  “We lost a world class bass player, singer, songwriter and friend, recalled Box, “While Trevor was ill, he wanted us to continue working, so we used a bass player called Dave Rimmer, who Trevor approved of. It was only natural that Dave carried on with the band.” In addition to Box, the only original member, the band also includes drummer Russell Gilbrook, and longtime members Phil Lanzon on keyboards and singer Bernie Shaw.

Psychedelic bands covering blues material is nothing new, but Jeffertitti's Nile have bypassed the problem faced by so many who have tried (basic problem - white boys sounding like they have pretty much no soul to speak of) by turning Bessie Smith's "Blue Spirit Blues" into a furious piece of psychedelic surf-punk. Quite an opener, and the band's originals are more than a match for it.

The best tracks on here seamlessly combine hairy seventies guitar riffery with spacious celestial rock; "The Day The Sky Fell" combines easy going choogle with delicately balanced, gently swelling guitars in a slow burning approximation of an Icelandic, post-rock Canned Heat, while best of all is "No One" which rides a big, sweaty guitar riff until the choruses explode into a trippy breakdown of treated vocal "ahs" that sound like a star exploding in slow motion.

Their third album, In and Out of Youth and Lightness was released by Temporary Residence in April 2011 and sees the band taking their sound in a quieter noise rock and gothic rock-influenced direction.

Young Widows will release its fourth studio album titled Easy Pain on May 13, 2014 through Temporary Residence.[3]

Hi Fiction Science now return with their sophomore, self-produced album ‘Curious Yellow’ - an album of original material that further defines the band’s unique sound and optimises the haunting and soaring vocal talents of Maria Charles.

The album was recorded in Bristol at State of Art Studio and mixed with Jim Barr (Get The Blessing / Portishead). "Curious Yellow” is one of the most sensory provoking and memorable albums to be released in 2014.
